Downingtown Area School District The Downingtown Area School District is proud of our long tradition of providing a high quality education to our students. We are ranked 21 in state of PA.

Our high schools have been recognized by Newsweek magazine as two of the best in the U.S. The DASD page is a limited public forum, where the public may comment publicly on the district’s posts – subject to certain guidelines. The following types of content are prohibited from DASD social media and shall be removed immediately upon discovery.:
a. Comments unrelated to the original DASD pos

c. Lewd, vulgar, or obscene posts
d. Discriminatory or harassing comments
e. Posts promoting violence or illegal conduct
f. Derogatory language or demeaning statements about or threats to any third party
g. Images depicting sexual harassment, vandalism, stalking, drinking alcohol, drug use, or criminal activity
h. Curse words
i. Content that violates state or federal law
j. Content promoting online gambling, obscene image(s) or content
k. Postings that offer goods or services for personal financial profit
l. Personal communications or social relationships unrelated to DASD business
m. Material protected by copyright
n. Commercial advertisements

Individual comments or posts that violate the above guidelines may be deleted (if possible given the social media platform) without further notice. Posts may not be deleted simply because they are critical of the DASD, or because they promote an unpopular opinion, if the post otherwise complies with the above guidelines.

• Meet representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities and learn about academics, admissions, campus life, financial aid, and more.

Transitioning Beyond High School: Preparing for College With Disability Supports
• 5:00-6:00 PM

• This specialized pre-event program will help students with disabilities and their families explore college options and connect with local colleges and trade schools offering specialized programs and support.

Congratulations to ninth graders Shreyaan Kovur, Jaswanth Velpula, and Tharun Sudhakar who were named among the Top 300 Junior Innovators in the 2026 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge! 🎉

Their project, Smart Vision, earned them this distinction from among 1,997 entrants across the United States. Presented by Society for Science, the challenge is a national STEM competition for middle school students. 💡

We're excited to announce the Top 300 in the 2026 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge—the nation's premier STEM competition for middle school students. Chosen from a competitive pool of nearly 2,000 applicants, the Top 300 represent the best and brightest middle school STEM talent in the U.S. and its territories.

Bradford Heights Elementary is operating with a generator at this time, and will proceed with classes as usual.

Buses may be delayed due to downed trees. We appreciate your patience.

⚾ Come out and cheer on the Lancaster Stormers with DASD students, families, friends and community members!

DASD students get in FREE but must reserve a ticket.
Community members, family and friends are welcome to join us, with additional tickets just $12.
