Thanks to Duquesne University for inviting me to break ground on their new Health Sciences building. Healthcare and education are important to the future of our commonwealth and I was more than happy to help secure $1 million in state funding for the project.

🚧 Pittsburgh is receiving nearly $3.75 million in state funding for two important transportation projects!

That includes $3 million to improve the Boulevard of the Allies and $739,007 to upgrade the North Shore’s overhead lane control system. 🛣️

These investments will make our roads and traffic systems safer, smoother and more reliable for residents, workers and visitors. 🚦

I’m proud to support these investments in Pittsburgh and grateful to the Shapiro Administration and PennDOT for helping move these projects forward. 🤝

Got to meet some amazing business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community organizations working together to support the continued growth and ultimate success around the Main Street corridor. Replacing outdated traffic signals at the Bingham Street and 10th Street intersection will help keep pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders, and drivers moving more safely and efficiently. 🚨 Free Steering Wheel Lock Giveaway Today 🚗🔒

In response to an increase in vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles across the city, Pittsburgh Police Zone 3, City Council District 3, and the Hilltop Alliance are hosting a free steering wheel lock giveaway today from 4–6 p.m. at Venson Park (700 Gearing Avenue).

Thanks to a private donation, nearly 250 steering wheel locks will be available while supplies last.
