Sick of the constant ads that you experience every day on FB & Insta? Especially on something you were just talking about. It’s creepy & I’m tired of it, too, but if these platforms are going to bombard us with ads, then they should be taxed on the profits they are making on them.

Think about all the digital ads you’ve seen online just today. Now think about the fact Google, Amazon, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft, etc. pay zero in PA taxes on the profits they make on selling those ad spaces. These mega corporations don’t care about your political affiliation, all they see is green with no regard for giving a penny of those profits back to the people of this Commonwealth.

Well we can finally change that in PA with HB1678 the Digital Ad Tax sponsored by my colleague Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler and co-prime sponsors Rep. John Inglis and myself.

We estimate around $500M annually would be raised from this legislation. That’s needed revenue that could support our schools, roads & bridges, transportation, housing or a host of other important areas.

It’s beyond time to find a way to make these mega corporations pay their fair share. Let’s pass HB 1678!!

Excited to join Duquesne Light Company for the ribbon cutting of their new Headquarters in Nova Place on the Northside. Excited to have a new neighbor on the Northside with a familiar face. Looking forward to the 600 employees that will be working there having an opportunity to boost the local economy and enjoy all that the community has to offer

As we observe Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage and devotion to duty secured the freedoms and opportunities that we enjoy today, and their legacy continues to inspire generations of Americans. Memorial Day also reminds us of our shared responsibility to uphold the values of service, unity, and gratitude that strengthen our communities and our country.
