To explain our previous post: As a part of the Coast Guard’s Force Alignment Initiative. SHRIKE is being placed into a Special Commission Status. This is not a decommissioning, it is essentially an extended dockside at the Coast Guard Yard. The crew will transfer to other units. Shrike will remain in this status for an unknown period of time, until She is needed again.
