Another step forward in connecting the Bay! 🚢

Today, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor presented PSTA with a check for $850,000 in federal funding to move plans forward for the future Tampa Bay Ferry dock site in downtown St. Petersburg!

We were thrilled to be joined by St. Pete Mayor Ken Welch and our partners Hubbard's Marina to celebrate this major milestone for cross-bay travel. 🌊⚓

“Investing in the Tampa Bay Ferry means giving people another way to get around our region while strengthening the connection between St. Petersburg and Tampa,” said U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor. “I’m proud to have helped secure this funding for a permanent dock and look forward to seeing the ferry back on the water and serving our community.”

Last week, PSTA staff celebrated a major milestone for one of our very own. We are incredibly proud to celebrate Bus Operator Stephan Thomas and his family as they received the keys to their brand-new Habitat for Humanity home!🥳

David K. Barnhart, Deputy Director of Transportation, shared, "We're so excited for Stephan and his family to receive this new home, which will provide their six little ones a safe, comfortable place to grow up and flourish. Stephan has been providing life-sustaining trips to our community as a bus operator for the past seven years—we're thrilled to see that same kindness repaid to him!"
