📚✨ Pick Up Your Summer Reading Log at the Dows Community Library!

Let your kiddos get a head start on earning prizes for our Summer Reading Program, kicking off July 8th. This year’s reading log is packed with three fun ways for kids to earn points all summer long:

1. Follow the reading path to track how many minutes they read.

2. Complete summer challenges to score bonus points toward prizes.

3. Attend library programs—including our June adventure, 'Camp Read S’more'—to earn even more points.

Stop by the library today to grab a reading log and start the summer reading fun. Let’s make this a season full of stories, learning, and big rewards for our young readers.

When Hoppy finds himself lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's up to his new owner to track him down before bedtime!

"Hoppy" is a reminder of favorite childhood comfort items and the cherished memories they hold.

Amanda Rink is the author of “Hoppy”. She is known for creating stories relating to real life while capturing children’s attention and inspiring their imagination. With a background in library science, psychology, and journalism, she brings a unique approach to children’s literature. Amanda shares four kids with her husband, who has inspired most of her children’s stories. When she isn’t avoiding laundry or writing for The Wright County Monitor, you can find her hiding in the forest with a novel and a cup of coffee.

Hoppy is the true-to-life story about how Willow, Amanda Rink’s younger daughter, obtained her stuffed bunny from her older sister, Hayden, that would later become a treasured comfort item. The story is special to share because it shows the love between siblings, and highlights the importance of comfort items, like Hoppy, to children. (amazon.com)
