We are deeply grateful to the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) for its generous award of a $30,000 Historical and Museum Support Grant to TileWorks.
This investment helps ensure that the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works can continue serving our community as a living museum, working tile factory, educational resource, and community gathering place. Grant funding will support expanded insurance coverage that allows us to host many of the events our community has come to know and love, including TileFest, Bluegrass at TileWorks, PumpkinFest, the Bucks County Renaissance Faire, and Night of Song.
The grant will also help us strengthen healthcare benefits for our dedicated staff and expand marketing efforts that connect new audiences to our National Historic Landmark and the remarkable legacy of Henry Chapman Mercer.
For more than a century, the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works has been a place where art, history, craftsmanship, and community come together. Support from PHMC helps ensure that this unique Pennsylvania treasure remains accessible, vibrant, and relevant for future generations.
Thank you to the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission for recognizing the value of preserving and sharing Pennsylvania’s cultural heritage. We are honored to be among this year’s grant recipients and grateful for PHMC’s continued commitment to museums and historic sites across the Commonwealth.
Operational funding has been provided by a grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission’s Cultural and Historical Support Program, a program funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
