A huge thank you to our community, volunteers, friends, family and everyone who supported the 63rd Annual Firemen’s Picnic!

Whether you attended the quilt show, fish fry, softball, horseshoes, truck and tractor pull, or car show, stopped in for a burger, enjoyed some bingo, brought the kids, listened to the Fall River Pep Band, or were lucky enough to get the chicken dinner before it sold out, THANK YOU!!

Your support, along with the support of so many volunteers, allowed us to host another fantastic event. While Mother Nature gave us a little scare Sunday morning, our preparations paid off!

For a small town in the middle of nowhere, we sure do know how to host a picnic! Here’s to next year and even more memories!

The current fire danger for our area is VERY HIGH.

The restrictions from the DNR are as follows:

Due to fire weather conditions, burning is not allowed today. All DNR-issued burning permits are suspended. Burning in barrels, debris piles, and grass or wooded areas with your DNR annual burning permit is prohibited. Campfires, though strongly discouraged, are allowed if used solely for cooking or warming purposes, but please use extreme caution. Consider having small campfires in a designated fire ring or device in the evening hours to avoid burning under elevated fire conditions typically found during the day. Please note-- areas outside of DNR Protection and within the limits of incorporated villages or cities may create their own burning ordinances, as well as set their own burn restrictions.
