Kayli Abendroth is to be the intern at the United Way of Bucks County. She is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Through this program, Kayli hopes to continue to positively impact her community like she did in high school where she volunteered at her church's food pantry, the library, and theater program.

to once again sponsor the United Way of Bucks County's annual Bucks Knocks Out Hunger event at the Oxford Valley Mall. Last week, hundreds of volunteers came together, including members of our Board of Directors, staff, and program, to pack shelf-stable meals for neighbors in need.

Nearly 1 in 10 children in Bucks County are food insecure, so this annual hunger-fighting effort helps increases access to healthy, nutritious food. You can still help to fight hunger by making a donation at https://buff.ly/EeHlR0i.

Rosalena 'Lena' Karcher is to be the intern at the Michener Art Museum. She is an Art Education major at Boston University, and aspires to be an art teacher to share her passion and "create an environment where
everyone feels safe, supported, and encouraged."

Week 3 of the program featured plenty of work, and a visit to the Churchville Nature Center for our 13 interns last week.

Students participating in use their academic, social, and problem-solving skills to address community needs. They are “matched” with select serving for a 10-week, paid internship with the opportunity to earn college credits. Since 2008, 228 college students have completed the program contributing 65,664 service hours to nonprofits serving Bucks County.

Andreas Quattrocchi is to be the intern at the Bucks County Housing Group. He is a pre-med student majoring in Neuroscience and Philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh, and a recipient of FCP's 2025 Partnership in Education Scholarship.

Alexis Dingley is to be the intern at Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County. She is a Communications Studies major at West Chester University of PA, minoring in Media and Culture. Through this internship program, Alexis is exploring how her different skills and interests match career options in the sector.

Olivia 'Liv' Moyer is to be the intern at Special Equestrians. She is a Psychology major at the University of Pittsburgh , and "desires to work in an environment...in which [she] can learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to a cause that serves a greater purpose and will benefit the community."
