Thank you to Neshaminy Manor for hosting the 5th annual Juneteenth celebration this morning! Residents and employees were invited to a presentation from Neshaminy Manor and Sodexo staff and to participate in informative activities.

A Bucks County bridge in the Andalusia section of Bensalem was recently dedicated in memory of U.S. Army Cpl. John M. Lyons, a Bucks County resident who was killed in action during the Vietnam War. While the Father Judge High School Graduate was a native of Philadelphia, he lived with his wife and in-laws in Andalusia later in his life. The bridge dedicated in Lyons’ honor crosses Poquessing Creek along Red Lion Road connecting Philadelphia and Bensalem Township.

Last month, the Commissioners presented Co-Responder Corinne Beck with a letter of commendation for her life-saving effort on April 29, 2026. After just nine days working with the Solebury, Buckingham and New Hope Police Departments, she intervened to save a person experiencing a medical emergency.

We thank her and the entire Human Services Co-Responders team for the work that they do.

Last Wednesday, the Fire Marshal's Office recognized Tom Flanagan and Edward Pfeiffer for their 35 years of service to Fire Professionals Aiding Children (Fire PAC) in Bucks County.

Through Fire PAC, firefighters from across the county work to support, counsel and educate young people engaged in fire setting. Children often use fire as a way to call out for help, Pfieffer said, and Fire PAC has the resources and expertise to respond.

The Fire Marshal's Office thanks Ed and Tom for their remarkable dedication to protecting children and families, and congratulates them on a job well done. Their legacy of excellence is an inspiration to the new generation of fire professionals taking up the Fire PAC mantle.
