In moments of chaos, calm hearts and steady hands serve our community.
This morning at 9:58 AM, our department was paged to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on State Park Road/Hwy 163. Our firefighters responded quickly and professionally, remaining calm under pressure and doing the job they are trained to do which Is serving others on what may be one of the worst days of someone’s life.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Minden City Rescue for arriving quickly to assist with extrication, stabilization, and preparing the patient for transport by Life Air. We are thankful for strong partnerships and teamwork when minutes matter most.
Always remember that when you see flashing lights or a first responder directing traffic, there is a reason. Slow down. Pay attention. Be patient. We follow safety protocols not only to protect our firefighters and responding agencies, but to protect everyone on the roadway, including you.
While we do not share details out of respect for those involved, we always ask that you keep the individuals and families affected in your thoughts and prayers. Behind every call is a person, a family, and a story.
Thank you to our community for your continued support and for helping us keep everyone safe.
