Parade Pre-Registration is now open for next weekend's show! This will help us collect information ahead of time and make line-up smoother for everyone.

Parade Times:
➡️ Saturday, September 12th – 12:00 PM
➡️ Sunday, September 13th – 12:00 PM
⏰ Line-up begins at 11:30 AM each day.

Parade participants must check in at the office building by 11:30 AM to receive their parade number. Numbers must be displayed on the right side of your entry during the parade, and returned to the office afterwards.

This community is what makes the Drake Threshing Show run so smoothly, and we love all the help we receive each year! We couldn’t do it without you.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with gate admissions. This year, we are again utilizing a scheduling program to help keep things running smoothly. (It will even send a reminder to your phone when your scheduled shift is coming soon!)

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out today to help load bundles and get us one step closer to the upcoming threshing show! We’re grateful for every extra set of hands that grabbed a pitchfork and helped get the job done.

We even had a couple of junior helpers learning the ropes, which might just be our favorite part. ❤️ Passing these skills on to the next generation is how we make sure the traditions, stories and history behind harvest continue for years to come.

Now, we’re looking forward to show time! Don’t forget to save the dates and stop by to see us!

And if you missed out on loading bundles today and are feeling a little bummed… you’re still in luck! 😉 Find a board member during the threshing show and volunteer to help pitch bundles into the threshing machine. It’s a hands-on way to experience how harvest used to be and become part of keeping that history alive.

🌾 We’re Headed to the Field and We Need Your Help! 🌾

Tomorrow, we’ll be out binding wheat and getting ready for the upcoming threshing show! The bundles we gather tomorrow will be used to demonstrate steam-powered threshing, helping us keep agricultural history alive for another generation.

We have plenty of pitchforks - now we just need some helping hands! Volunteers are needed beginning at 10:30 a.m. to help load the wheat bundles into wagons. Board members will be at the field north of Drake prior to volunteers arriving.

Morning dew and moisture can affect when we’re able to get started, so keep an eye on this page tomorrow morning. We’ll post an update here if the start time needs to be postponed.
