Pembina County has officially declared a fire emergency after consulting with all local fire departments. Burn restrictions are now in effect. All residents are asked to be mindful of the fire danger ratings. If you are unsure, please ask.

We hope to work together to minimize risk for all Pembina County residents.

Remember to “Close Before You Doze”🚪

There is a common misconception that it’s safer to leave your door open when you sleep. However, actually CLOSING your door can save lives.

Here’s why you should “Close Before You Doze”:

🔥Limits and delays the spreading of flames throughout the structure.
🔥Keeps the temperature much lower in your room as the fire spreads (100 degrees vs 1000+ degrees).
🔥Blocks exposure to toxic smoke and gases.
🔥Gives you and others more time to safely exit the home or apartment.

A huge THANK YOU to our Acme Tools - Grand Forks, ND sales rep, Pete Olson, who got us nominated to receive a DeWalt 60V, cordless cutoff saw through a Stanley Black & Decker program. Our department was lucky enough to be one of the ones awarded.

We depend on these kinds of tools every day to help us on various calls. We are very grateful to both of these companies, and the support rural fire departments like us receive from these types of programs.
