Good evening, everyone. Just as a point of clarity concerning tonight’s City Board Meeting, the choice to move back to Republic Services for trash pickup was not a City of Dresden decision. Republic Services bought out RaeKar and will be continuing with the contract that was originally awarded to RaeKar.
That being said, all RaeKar employees and equipment will move over to Republic Services and your rates/days of pickup WILL STAY THE SAME. There will be no rate changes outside of the original contract through the duration of the original contract. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me, City Hall, or any of our other board members. Thanks.

The storm sirens for the City of Dresden will be tested Tuesday, March 17 between 12 Noon and 1 pm. This is only a test. The sirens will sound an alert and will deliver a voice notice stating it is only a test.

Should the sirens need to be sounded due to severe weather (tornado warning), an alert will be sounded followed by a command to seek shelter immediately.

After the initial test, the sirens will be tested monthly - once during a week day at Noon and once on a Saturday at Noon. We are looking to perform the monthly tests on the first Tuesday and the fourth Saturday provided there is not a threat for severe weather during those days.

The system has the capability of sending text alerts in addition to the sirens being initiated. Residents may utilize the attached QR code to sign up for text alerts.
