Weakley County Trustee The Trustee works for the citizens of the county in handling their county's revenues. These temporarily idle funds generate revenue dollars for your county.

The Trustee's Office collects all local taxes as well as flow down dollars from the state and federal government. This money is then placed into investment accounts to collect interest until it is spent by the school board or county commission.

In honor of Sheriff’s Deputy Derrick Bonham, the Weakley County Courthouse and all Weakley County Government buildings will close at Noon (12:00 PM) on Monday, February 2, 2026, to allow employees to attend his funeral services.

This closure does not apply to the Weakley County Health Department.

We appreciate the community’s understanding as we honor Deputy Bonham’s service and sacrifice. 🖤💙

Weakley County Courthouse and county buildings will be open during normal business hours on Friday, January 30, 2026. However, some courthouse offices may be operating on modified schedules based on their situations with personnel and safety.

We encourage citizens to contact the specific office or court you wish to visit or have dealings with prior to traveling to confirm their hours of operation.

Weakley County Government offices will have a delayed opening at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026 and will close at normal business hours.

While road conditions are improving, some areas throughout the county are still slick and dangerous. Please exercise extreme caution if you choose to drive, and allow yourself extra travel time if needed. We hope everyone stays safe, and we look forward to serving you!

🚨 Weakley County Government Closure Notice 🚨

Based on discussions with Weakley County EMA and after assessing road conditions throughout the county this afternoon, hazardous travel conditions still exist that make it unsafe for citizens and employees to travel and access county buildings.

County and municipal crews have worked diligently to clear walkways, parking lots, and access points; however, several county facilities remain difficult to access. Crews will continue working to improve conditions as weather and safety allow.

⚖️ Court Closures:
• Weakley County General Sessions Court
• Weakley County Chancery Court (including Child Support Court)
These courts are cancelled and will be rescheduled in coordination with the appropriate departments and judges.

❄️ Weakley County Government facilities, including the Weakley County Health Department, will be CLOSED on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, for the safety of our employees and the public.

Conditions will be reevaluated to determine plans for Thursday, January 29, 2026, and updates will be shared as soon as possible. All decisions will continue to be made on a day-to-day basis.

Based on discussions with the Weakley County EMA and after county officials drove several roads throughout the county this afternoon, hazardous travel conditions still clearly exist that make it unsafe for employees and citizens to be traveling and entering county buildings.

As a result, all Weakley County Government facilities — including the Weakley County Health Department — will be CLOSED tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

County officials will reevaluate conditions tomorrow to determine whether reopening is possible on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Updates will be shared as soon as a decision is made. As always, decisions will continue to be made on a day-to-day basis with safety as the top priority.

🚨 Weakley County Government Closure Notice 🚨

Based on discussions with the Weakley County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and after assessing road conditions throughout the county this morning, hazardous travel conditions are present that make it unsafe for citizens and employees to travel and enter county facilities.

For the safety of the public and county employees, all Weakley County Government facilities, including the Weakley County Health Department, will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.

County officials will reevaluate conditions again tomorrow to determine whether facilities can reopen on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. At this time, temperatures are not expected to improve and there is a high likelihood that closures may continue; however, an official decision will be announced after further evaluation. All decisions will be made on a day-to-day basis.

Please continue to monitor official Weakley County communication channels for updates, and use caution if travel is necessary.
