FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 19th, 2026

State of Tennessee
v.
Khristi Dawn Cunningham

Weakley County General Sessions
Docket #2026-CR-203

Khristi Dawn Cunningham has waived her right to a preliminary hearing and requested that her case be bound over to the Weakley County Grand Jury. This decision was made following discussions with her defense attorneys after the defendant was provided with the evidence that would have been presented against her during a preliminary hearing by the District Attorney General’s Office.

The case will now be presented to a Weakley County Grand Jury on September 1, 2026. If the Grand Jury returns a True Bill and chooses to indict the defendant on the charges presented, the defendant’s next appearance will be an arraignment in Weakley County Circuit Court before Judge Jeff Parham on September 8, 2026.
