This morning we hosted our annual Medical Command Skills Review with our Agency Medical Director Dr. Herbert N. Schiffer. Topics discussed were: Difficult Airways, CVA’s, STEMI’s, Prehospital Field Deliveries, Critical Thinking, Protocol Updates, TXA administration for hemorrhage control and Blood Administration. Thanks to Dr Schiffer for this great learning opportunity and for spending the day with us!

STAT Units MICU 579B, AMB 3, and MEDIC 500 responded to a “Maternity” call around midnight. Crews arrived to find a woman in labor. EMT Rob Gerofsky and Paramedic Keegan Slate delivered a healthy baby girl with assistance from EMTs Bill Dormon, John Tudo, and Chief Ron Berardocco. Thanks to Upper Darby Police for their assistance on scene.

Final Day of a 3-Day Neonatal ALS / Resuscitation Class for our Upper Darby 911 units. Congratulations to our 6 new NALS Instructors who will soon be hosting classes for our entire staff.

Day 1 of a 3 day Neonatal Advanced Life Support Instructor’s Class! Upon completion, several staff members will be able to teach the new American Red Cross NALS program to the remainder of our staff.
