This is an important message from the city of Drexel. This message is to inform you that repairs have been completed, and water is scheduled to be restored shortly. Be advised there will be air in the lines. A boil advisory will be in effect until water testing can be completed over the weekend at which time residents will be notified when it is lifted. We appreciate your continued patience while crews were working hard to fix lines. Thank you.

Due to the recent water leak, we will be repairing a secondary break sometime today August 19th. Please make preperations now if you need to store water prior to the town being shut off. Please note we are still under a boil advisory until further notice. The city will notify you as soon as possible when repairs are completed and resoration of water can be made. We appreciate your patience with this inconvenience. Thank you.

The City of Drexel would like to inform that dealing with the water main break today, they fixed one section and when filling in another section broke loose. They will be locating this break now and if it is a trickle, then they will work on it in the morning. If it is more than a trickle then they will start on it tonight. We will keep you posted if has to be repaired tonight. Otherwise plan on it being fixed in the morning. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The City of Drexel would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while the main line on first was being fixed. They are working on turning the water on now. We will be under a boil advisory until further notice. We will have to take a sample to Joplin for testing and we will let you know when the boil advisory has been lifted.

Due to the water leak at 1st & Bates we will be having to shut down the town. Sorry for the inconvenience

We have located the leak and will be shutting valves off along 1st street. If that does not centralize the leak area we will post again if we have to shut down the town.

The City of Drexel is working on a leak at 1st and Bates, so the water will be shut off at sometime. We are hoping to centralize it but wanted to get the word out in case that is not possible. We will keep you posted. Thank you.
