On behalf of Chief Booker and the members of the Drexel Fire Department, we send our love and support to the families of Cpl. Gary Daniels and the men and women of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Brothers and sisters, know that we stand beside you and mourn with you during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Hero Daniels.

Reaching out for help isn't a sign of weakness, but a sign that you're human with a heart.

With storms entering our area, please stay weather aware. Use multiple resources to stay informed. NOAA Weather Radios are excellent, weather and news stations/apps are great! Do NOT rely on tornado sirens. They are NOT meant to be heard indoors.
Multiple severe rounds are forecasted.

In the event you need to take shelter this afternoon throughout the night, both the Christian and Methodist churches are open.

⚠️Please stay weather aware today!
*The Drexel Christian Church and Methodist Church will both be open for shelter needs.

*Please use multiple resources to stay informed. Weather apps, TV, NOAA Weather Radios, ect. are all excellent resources.

*Do NOT rely on tornado sirens.
These sirens (typically a 3 minute steady blast) are designed to warn people WHO ARE OUTDOORS that an emergency is imminent and you should move indoors and tune in to local media for information. This tool is not intended to alert people who are indoors.

Severe weather continues to be expected this afternoon and evening. All severe hazards (large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes) will be possible. However, large hail will be the primary threat during initial stages of storm development, with damaging winds becoming more likely as storms congeal into lines or clusters. Isolated tornadoes are also possible, especially if storms remain discrete. Stay weather aware today!

A couple of weeks ago, someone very special to us from Agape’s Grace reached out about an individual who wanted to meet our department—“Anthony’s FD.” We were truly honored and privileged to welcome Skyler to our station last night, where he shared his incredible artwork with us.

His piece will forever hang in our station as a meaningful tribute—a reminder of how special Anthony was to us, to our community, and to everyone whose lives he touched. It also serves as a powerful reminder to each of us that what we do truly makes a difference. ❤️

Drexel Fire is currently looking for motivated individuals interested in joining our crew, volunteering for our Community. We meet every Tuesday evening 7-9pm, feel free to come check us out!

Come out and show your support for one of our own, Drexel Firefighter Chaz Needham and his family. On January 20th, they experienced a devastating house fire that left them facing a long and difficult road to rebuild their home and replace what was lost.

Recovery has been slow and stressful, but we have an opportunity as a community to make a real difference. This fundraiser will not only be a great time, but it will also help ease some of the financial burden as they work toward creating a new home.

Let’s come together, have some fun, and support the Needham family when they need it most.
