🇺🇸 June 6, 1944 -- 82 years ago today, the tide of history turned.

On D-Day, more than 156,000 Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in
the largest seaborne invasion in history. They fought -- and many gave their
lives -- so that freedom could prevail.

We will never forget their courage, their sacrifice, or the debt of gratitude
we owe them. 🙏

To the Greatest Generation: Thank you. Your valor will live forever.

🇺🇸 HCRW and Hays County Backs the Blue 🚔

The Hays County Republican Women recently teamed up with local restaurateurs to host their annual Back The Blue Luncheon, an all-you-can-eat barbecue feast at AMVETS in Kyle to honor our area's law enforcement officers.

As part of National Police Week festivities, around 100 law enforcement officers and first responders from 11 different agencies attended. This marks the fifth year the Hays County Republican Women have hosted this event.

Today is not about sales, barbecues, or the start of summer. Today, we remember.

We remember the soldiers who never came home. The Sailors who gave the last full measure. The Marines, Airmen, and Guardsmen who laid down their lives so that we could live ours in freedom.

Their courage is the foundation of every blessing we enjoy as Americans. 🦅

Hays County Republican Women asks you to pause today — at noon, observe a moment of silence — and remember the fallen. Visit a memorial. Share a name. Tell their story. 🌺
