Boil Water Notice Rescinded
Update: 02/05/2023 03:00 P.M.
On February 3, 2023, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Deer Creek Water public water system, TX2270049, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions that occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of February 5, 2023.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Kristen Collier at (830) 312-4600 or at [email protected].

Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems
Update: 02/02/2023 05:15 P.M.
Address for Water Delivery Updated:
WTPUA, our wholesale provider, expects the water to be delivered to our system late this evening. Therefore, we will be distributing one case per household of bottled water between the hours of 5:30 pm to 8:00 at the following location:
Deer Creek Lower Lake Park
Once water is delivered to us from WTPUA, pressurization of the system will begin. Please remember that a return of the water supply does not indicate the boil water notice has ended. Flushing and sampling will begin late tonight or early tomorrow morning once we have adequate storage in the system to start the flushing process. Assuming WTPUA delivers water as expected, flushing and testing by our operators will determine if samples can be collected and returned to the lab for analysis. We fully expect that samples will be delivered to the lab tomorrow. The labs’ analytical process will take 24 hours to complete. Once we have all documentation from the lab, the boil water notice can be lifted.
______________________________________________________________________
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Deer Creek Water / TX2270049 public water system to notify all customers to boil their water before consumption.
Overnight electrical outages in the service area caused failure in water distribution to some residents in the Deer Creek service area. We have crews on standby awaiting water from our wholesale supplier, West Travis Public Utility WTPUA but do not have an estimated time of arrival. Once the water does arrive, our crews will begin flushing and gathering samples to be analyzed before the boil water notice will be rescinded.
