The City of Driscoll Council members unanimously voted to disband the Driscoll Police Department due to a budget restructure. I would like to thank the City for the opportunity I had serving this community as your Chief of Police the last 3 years. My family and I will take with us the many memories we shared here with great people and miss the many community events that we organized throughout the year. The community events were my favorite part of this journey. I have thousands of videos and pictures I can cherish forever and watch my girls literally grow up through all the captured moments in video and photo. They will also have those memories of being with Dad at work and volunteering their time dressing as Officer Rosco our PD Mascot , or serving the seniors at the senior center Luncheons. I'm so grateful for these experiences.
From 2020 until now, this agency had brought in the finest of Officers I could have ever asked to work along side . I would like to thank Christian Salazar, Noel Bueno, Carolina Rosales , Peter Disston, Jonathon Salazar , Corparal Melissa Ramon, Aaron Lewis , and Sergeant Michael Bustos for their dedicated and honorable services under my administration. I feel these individuals lifted this agency to heights never achieved before in Driscoll, taking the culture and negative stigmas of a once depleted reputation to one that we could be proud of and stand by with integrity. We stood strong in our mission, morals, and ethics against adversity and critics, but never wavered. I'm proud knowing I was a part in providing a stepping stone in each and every one of these officers career paths as they have all moved on to very successful opportunities around the area. These wonderful examples of what this profession is really about never made it on the local news , never were subject to any investigations, and never faced reprimand or public embarrassment. I say to all of you Guys and Gals, we did it , we changed the culture of the Driscoll Police Department and I am very proud of that.
City Staff , Armandina Garcia , Joy Saenz, Joanna Cobos and Paula Wakefield , thank you all for what you do with your charitable events that help the families of the City. Thank you ladies for showing me your appreciation and respect as this transition has been difficult for some. You have made me feel like we did great things here these last 3 years . Thank you Deputy Elliott Martinez for the years of donations for these events I have mentioned and all sponsors who helped us along the way , Thank you all , my family and I wish the City of Driscoll and its citizens our best wishes and gob bless.
