Board meetings are held the second Saturday of the new month at 8am at Fire Station 1. We are an all volunteer fire department established, and state incorporated May 28, 1993, as a Title 18 department with an ISO Public Protection Classification 5 rating. We are also an IRS 501(c)3 public charity organization meaning all donations are tax deductible. We operate from two stations covering 44 squar

e miles with a budget supported from fire protection agreements, service fees, donations, fundraisers, grants and a small fire sales tax. We currently respond to approximately 150 emergency and non-emergency incidents annually. Regularly scheduled board/fire meetings are held on the second Saturday of the new month at 8:00 A.M. in the meeting room of Station 1 unless otherwise noted. This evening at approximately 820 pm, we were requested to assist OHP and CCSO on a possible missing/injured person in the 42500 block of West 101st. A neighbor heard a person screaming for help in the woods and called 911.

The trooper was able to locate him with his drone. We deployed our thermal drone in conjunction with OHPs and was able to direct rescue crews to his location.

He was safely transport by our utv to a waiting ambulance for treatment and transport.

Turns out that he was trying to take a shortcut home through the woods. At some point he suffered an injury and became dark causing him to get disoriented and lost.

This is another example of multiple agencies working together to save a life.

As we conclude National EMS Week today, we extend our appreciation to our Olive Fire EMTs and EMRs for your professional and passionate care you provide to our community to answer the call when somebody is having the worst day of their lives. Additionally, we would like to express our appreciation to our medical director, Dr. Worden, and the entire Heartland staff and to our transport agencies, Creek County EMS and Mannford EMS.

Exterior wall fire with Freedom Hill FD this morning from a lightening strike. The fire was extinguished quickly using the first arriving units APW extinguisher which limited damages to the home.
