📢 EVENT UPDATE – BLOOD DRIVE UPDATE 📢

Due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s Community Hero Blood Drive at Grant County Park has been modified.

If you have a scheduled blood donation appointment with Hoxworth Blood Center, your appointment is STILL ON as scheduled. Please arrive at your assigned appointment time, as Hoxworth will continue honoring all donor appointments. All other events for the day is cancelled. THERE WILL BE A RESCHEDULED DATE ANNOUNCED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support for Maddie, Hoxworth Blood Center, and our community.

Thank you to everyone who planned to attend and support this event. Your willingness to give blood and help save lives is greatly appreciated.

School will be back in session soon! 🚌

Let's make safety a top priority by knowing the rules of the road. Drivers need to know how a new Kentucky law (KRS 189.370) impacts what they should do if they see a bus with red flashing lights and an extended stop arm:

• When this occurs on a road with more than two lanes that doesn't have a raised or unpaved median, traffic in all directions and lanes must stop.

• The only exception to this law is on a four-lane or more road that includes a raised or unpaved median. In this instance, traffic opposite to the extended stop arm may proceed.

The Kentucky State Police's top priority is keeping everyone safe at school, work, home and on the road.
