Bitter Sweet Last Day as The Village of Drydens Deputy Clerk/Treasurer. I’m so very Thankful for the Love & Support of my work family! I never dreamed that paying my water bill would turn into a job 💕(My Morning Coffee won’t be the same without you, Holly Anne 😭) Change is always so Hard, especially the older we get! Never did I dream that this job would lead me to take on other opportunities, that I am forever grateful for. In September I will be appointed the next Dryden Twp Clerk! I’m beyond excited and, as always, with that excitement comes nerves. I am truly fortunate to be going to another wonderful workplace-God works in mysterious ways……..

Hello everyone, for those who don’t know me, my name is April Smith. I am a wife and mother to my loving husband and 3 beautiful children, and have been a loyal resident to Dryden for 11 years.

I received my bachelors degree in psychology from Saginaw Valley State University. I then went on to work on the behavior health unit at Ascension for 16 years and then Macomb County FIA as a foster care worker.

I am now the Dryden Village Deputy Clerk and have been in this position for 4 years. Over the course of my time as the Deputy Clerk, I have become proficient in navigating BS&A software, allowing me to perform: employee payroll, accounts payable, cash receipting, taxes, utility billing to name a few. I interact with Dryden residents daily, taking into account various questions and concerns that they bring forth.

As your Dryden Township Clerk, I would continue to support the residents of this small, but flourishing community and ensure that all voices are heard and all needs are met to the best of my ability!
