Other than a 20 to 40% chance of thunderstorms Tuesday night across parts of southern Illinois, the Evansville Tri-State, dry and warm weather is forecast this week. Very low humidity levels and breezy north west could lead to elevated fire weather concerns on Wednesday.

Quiet and warm weather is expected for the upcoming work week. The only significant chance of rain will be Tuesday night, when isolated to scattered storms are forecast across southern Illinois, the Evansville Tri-State, and the Kentucky Pennyrile. Temperatures on Friday will warm up into the 80s.

A warming trend is underway into the weekend. Friday night brings the possibility for some scattered to isolated showers and storms during the evening and overnight. This is mainly for southern IL and southwest IN. Sunday brings another chance for some scattered showers and storms mainly in the afternoon. Minimal accumulations are expected with both systems.
