We are seeking an energetic, Du Quoin loving individual to fill our part-time executive director position. When we say multi-tasking is a must, that is no joke.
This includes but is not limited to day to day operations, record keeping, event planning, nurturing membership and adding new members, coordinating promotions and more.

This individual must have strong organizational skills, be a self-starter, community oriented, motivated, friendly, and ready to get involved. The Chamber of Commerce serves as a focal point for the business community, organizing and combining the talents and resources of our membership to help Du Quoin put its best foot forward to prospective businesses, investors, new residents, and tourists. We’re about teamwork, and our voluntary committees and projects give members the chance to work together to create a better future for Du Quoin commercially, as well as a better quality of life for our families.
The detailed job description is as follows. These duties are not all-inclusive of the job and are subject to change from month to month:
Nourishing current membership and logging new members, ribbon cuttings, managing bank accounts, meetings, special events, working with regional chambers, and various office duties.
Various office duties include but are not limited to: Utilizing our member management system and social media to encourage membership and community representatives to attend events, respond to emails/phone calls, pick up mail, bill membership and sponsors, update coupons, work w/ committee chairs and the president to prepare monthly meetings, balance QuickBooks, and more.
