A lifelong community advocate, nonprofit leader, and proud product of Illinois’ 48th District, Amanda Zahorak is running to be the next state representative of the 48th District. Amanda was raised in DuPage County and earned her Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University.

Her career has focused on serving families and strengthening communities. She served on the board of GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago and led advocacy efforts at DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity, helping expand access to safe, affordable housing for working families, veterans, and vulnerable communities.

Amanda is focused on making Illinois more affordable, supporting equitable funding for public schools, expanding access to affordable housing and healthcare, and building a government that puts people first.

Amanda is truly one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She listens, leads with her heart, brings people together, and has a record of delivering practical, community-centered solutions.

She's the fighter we need in Springfield.
