The Burn Ban for Lincoln Parish has been lifted. Thank you for your cooperation during the ban.

Although drought conditions persist for our area, we feel that the 2-4 inches of rain we have received during that last week have improved conditions enough to lift the ban.

Please don’t let the burn ban status be your only determining factor for burning. Conditions can vary through out the parish and change quickly. Wind and relative humidity levels play a big part in the control and spread of wild fires. You should always check the current and forecasted conditions prior to starting a fire.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week – April 12-18, 2026

We would like to thank all of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office Dispatchers! These dedicated men and women are a true asset to the public safety of Lincoln Parish!

Our communications deputies are the calm voices in moments of crisis—the first point of contact when help is needed most. They work around the clock, answering calls, dispatching deputies, and providing critical support that helps keep our community safe.

Their professionalism, compassion, and quick thinking make a difference every single day, often behind the scenes and without recognition.

We honor the dedicated men and women of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office Communications Division for their service.

Reminder: Lincoln Parish remains under a BURN BAN.

The National Weather Service is predicting low humidity and high winds this weekend. These conditions will lead to a high fire risk. Wildfires will readily ignite and spread quickly.
