🚒 While our members were enjoying Community Day at Supplee Park, Dublin Volunteer Fire Company remained ready to answer the call when emergencies arose.
Throughout the event, members responded to several incidents, including a reported apartment fire, a brush fire, and an elevator rescue.
The first call came in for a reported apartment fire in the 100 block of Middle Road. Chief 23 arrived on scene to find a first-floor apartment filled with smoke. Fortunately, the incident was determined to be a culinary mishap and crews from Engine 23 quickly ventilated the apartment complex and returned the build back to the residents.
Later in the afternoon, Engine 23 and Field 23 assisted the Perkasie Fire Company with a brush fire in the area of 3 Mile Run Road and Schoolhouse Road. The fire was reportedly started by downed power lines.
While Engine 23 was operating at the brush fire, Rescue 23, Engine 24 and Tower 79 were dispatched to the 100 block of North Main Street for an elevator rescue. As Rescue 23 arrived on scene, the elevator reset itself and the doors opened on the first floor, safely releasing the occupants.
After completing these incidents, our crews returned to Community Day to finish out the event and spend time with the community we proudly serve.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit us today, and a special thank you to Station 24 and Station 79 for their assistance on the elevator rescue.
