We are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of San Leandro for awarding Love Never Fails a grant to provide human trafficking prevention education to students in the San Leandro Unified School District earlier this month.

This partnership helps equip young people with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe, recognize exploitation, and build healthy futures.

As the Rotary Club of San Leandro celebrates 100 years of service and Love Never Fails celebrates 15 years of restoring, educating, and protecting survivors and communities, we are honored to stand together in creating an impact in the communitiy.

Thank you Memorial Tabernacle Church (CHSC) for all you are doing to raise awareness about human trafficking and address the tangible needs of those that are still being harmed in Oakland and across the Bay Area!

Our founder, Vanessa Johnson, spoke at MTC's Freedom Sunday and reminded us that despite what it looks like God will work it out.

We joined the My City, Our Music Summit, where we discussed valuable information about what is contributing to violence in urban communities, such as Oakland. One major topic discussed was the impact of social media on young people, encouraging harmful beliefs that their value is tied to the brands they wear, the relationships they have, or the money in their pockets.

These pressures and mindsets are contributing to the furtherance of serious issues like human trafficking.

Our panel agreed that one of the most important responses is to love and care for one another and learn to love ourselves, and to help young people understand their worth beyond outside validation. 💜

Applicants must reside in Alameda County, San Mateo County, San Francisco County, Santa Clara County, Contra Costa County, San Joaquin County, or Sacramento County. Oakland residents are NOT eligible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Innovat3 Connected Communities Meetup in Vallejo, and special thanks to Convoy of Hope for creating space for this important conversation! We were honored to stand alongside an incredible group of panelists discussing the realities facing our communities including human trafficking, youth vulnerability, housing instability, public safety, prevention, and the role we each play in creating change for our people.

One of the clearest takeaways from the evening was that collaboration matters. When nonprofits, law enforcement, educators, faith leaders, elected officials, and community members work together, we can make a difference. Prevention, education, intervention, and restoration cannot happen in silos. Thank you to everyone committed to doing the work together.

40 children were rescued during Operation Firewall, a multi-county child exploitation operation in Southern California. Between April 19 and May 3, 300 suspects were arrested on charges related to:
-Production/Possession/Distribution of child s*xual abuse material
-Lewd acts with a child
-Contact/Attempting to Contact/Meeting a minor for lewd purposes
-Human Trafficking
-Failure to register as a convicted s*x offender
-Various violations of parole/probation conditions by convicted s*x offenders

No child should ever go through this. We are grateful to all working to protect children and hold offenders accountable.
