🍀This week Laurens County Extension wants to celebrate the people behind 4-H!🍀

During National 4-H Week, we’re excited to recognize two people who help make the 4-H experience possible here in Laurens County — 4-H Agent Morgan Hinz and AmeriCorps member Emaley Echols!

From preparing youth for competitions and leading educational programs to encouraging our 4-H’ers to step outside their comfort zones and discover what they can accomplish, Morgan and Emaley invest countless hours into helping young people find their spark, build confidence, and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

The smiles, friendships, leadership skills, and accomplishments we see from our 4-H’ers don’t happen by accident. They are the result of dedicated people who believe in young people and are willing to show up, encourage them, and give them opportunities to grow.

This National 4-H Week, help us say THANK YOU to Morgan and Emaley for everything they do for our youth and the Laurens County 4-H program! 💚🍀

Join us as we partner with Laurens and Johnson County Young Farmers and Johnson County Extension to welcom Mr. Edward Morrow, a certified arborist, to learn how to think like an arborist. This short workshop will be held on Oct. 13th from 1PM-3PM at the Laurens County Extension Office and will explore the process an arborist takes in determining what is wrong with a tree and the best action to take moving forward. Registration is $10. CEUs for pesticide credits and ISA have been submitted and approved. To register, please call, 478-272-2277!
