Due to Coach Hall being sick the Cross Country team list won’t be posted tomorrow. Coach Wilkes & Coach Hall will discuss cuts on Tuesday of next week and post the team on Wednesday. We will post the list here as well. We had over 80 athletes try out and unfortunately we can’t keep 80. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Go West!

2026 WLMS Cross Country Tryout Information

Tryouts for 5th graders will be Monday May 18th from 3:45-4:45. 5th graders will have to provide their own transportation to WLMS. They should report to the track.

Tryouts for 6th graders will be Tuesday May 19th from 3:15-4:15. Athletes should report to the track.

Tryouts for 7th graders will be Wednesday May 20th from 3:15-4:15. Athletes should report to the track.

Weather Day or If another tryout day is needed: If any tryout gets canceled due to weather, we will make up that tryout on Thursday May 21st from 3:30-4:30.

** 2026-2027 Physicals MUST be completed before tryouts and entered into the RankOne site (www.rankone.com). **

BE PREPARED TO RUN! THIS IS CROSS COUNTRY!!! The middle school course is a 2-mile course; however, you will be required to run up to 4 miles at practice. Tryouts will be a 2 mile run this year.
Don’t wait to start conditioning. Begin running today.
