Boil Water Advisory info 👇🏼
UPDATE: August 20, 2026
✅ BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED
The City of Dublin's Boil Water Advisory has been officially lifted.
Water quality testing has confirmed that the water system meets all safety standards, and residents and businesses may now resume normal water use. Boiling water is no longer necessary for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, or any other household use. You may experience a stronger than normal level of chlorine for a period of time. We will continue flushing the system in the days to come with open fire hydrants, so if you see that, it is okay.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our residents, businesses, schools, and visitors during this precautionary advisory. We also extend our sincere thanks to our utility crews, who worked tirelessly to repair the water main break and restore service safely.
Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.
📢 BOIL WATER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT
While the repair is complete and water service is being restored, the Boil Water Advisory remains in effect at this time.
We understand that many residents are asking why the advisory stays in place after the water is back on. This is a standard safety process that helps protect the health of our community. Anytime a major water line break causes a loss of pressure in the water system, state regulations require water quality testing to ensure the water is safe before the advisory can be lifted.
⚠️ Until the advisory is officially lifted, please use boiled tap water or bottled water for:
• Drinking
• Brushing teeth
• Preparing food and baby formula
• Washing fruits and vegetables
• Making ice
• Giving water to pets
To boil water safely:
✅ Bring water to a rolling boil.
✅ Let it boil for one minute.
✅ Allow it to cool before use.
The City is actively testing the water and working through the required process as quickly as possible. Our top priority is ensuring that every resident, business, school, and visitor has access to safe water.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Please continue to check the City of Dublin's social media channels and the City website for official updates. We will notify the community immediately when the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.
Thank you for helping us keep our community safe. 💙💧
