Did you know?

One in four people in the United States has a disability. And that percentage increases when people are economically strained.

The Dubuque County Disabilities Council invites anyone who has a lived experience of disability or who is a family member of someone who has a disability to join us at our monthly meeting. We are also seeking those interested in being on the council, appointed by our board of supervisors.

Specifically seeking people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, those with physical disabilities and neurodiversities such as autism, and those with sensory (seeing, hearing) needs to engage with us and to consider applying to our council

Held every second Tuesday of the month at the Dubuque County Public Health building out on Seippel Road, council members and members of the public gather to discuss the issues that are important to them.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 4 PM to 5 PM.

All are welcome!
