Thank you to Cottingham & Butler for the opportunity to present the Shelter to them today. Just bringing awareness of all we do helps get the word out. The need is increasing for our services, sadly, and being able to have staff 24/7 ensures someone is there when the need arises. 🙏🏻💜

Thank you to the 10 incredible non-profit organizations who presented their impactful initiatives to our C&B Better Initiative Grant Committee earlier today! Each presentation showcased amazing community work and detailed plans for measurable impact.

Our C&B Better Initiative is powered by our people - teammates who contribute to support local organizations and help our community become "Better Every Day."

We are proud to support organizations making a real difference for local residents and are looking forward to picking the 2026 Grant Recipients in September!

We can not run a 24/7 hotline and shelter without the generous funds from local resources. We are blessed to be chosen by the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque!

This year’s grants are estimated to impact nearly 24,000 lives across the Dubuque region, based on figures provided by grantees. That's 10% of our region's population 😮

Community Impact Grants are open to nonprofits serving Dubuque, Clayton and Clinton counties. After narrowing down the pool of applicants, finalists were invited to make video pitches to the grant committee. The Foundation offered free one-on-one coaching to finalists to help them strengthen their videos and build skills to support all of their grant-seeking efforts.

The Protectors LEMC Iowa Chapter are not just the shelters friends but more like family. Whether it is help lifting, moving, needing food or clothing they are always willing to help. The just blessed us with more supplies for our move out buckets. One special group that means a lot to all of us. Thank You!!!
