I retired just this past July. My entire career has been about analyzing and solving problems. I feel that the unique set of skills and the unique experiences that I have had as an attorney will help me to support the Dubuque School Board work through present and future challenges and issues in order to best serve the students, families, staff, and greater community of the DCSD. I will bring the s
ame level of advocacy for the issues and people of the DCSD as I brought to fighting for my clients during many trials and appeals in the Iowa District Courts, the Iowa Worker's Compensation System, and the Iowa Appellate Courts. Again, as I have for my clients, I will also work for compromise and consensus, when it is reasonable and appropriate, among the parties involved in the issues and challenges that we face as a board. I believe that a sound and rigorous education is key to personal success and to a thriving community. I want to offer my skills and experiences in service to the DCSD and all of its stakeholders to achieve the highest level of educational and environmental excellence possible.
