If you have been Following the Atheist and Christian debate in this country, where probably the most famous and influential atheist in the the current west, Richard Dawkins among and late Christofer Hitchens who influenced many, it comes as a shock and surprise that Dawkins now considers himself a “cultural Christian”! Not that he believes it’s true but thinks that it is a religion of decent morality! But if you have seen the hostility that he among others promoted towards the Faith, it is an unbelievable and joyful surprise that he is now appreciating the Faith that he dedicated his entire life to destroy!
Prayers for Dawkins! Unlike, Hitchens who before he passed made it clear that if we ever heard stories of him accepting Christ on his deathbed that he wanted people to know that it was probably just his brain malfunctioning from dying. I wept at this statement. He did say he was thankful for the mostly overwhelming love and support by Christ Following believers as he was dying but he couldn’t have anyone believe it was possible for him to believe. It especially breaks my heart when you hear his story of his mother and aunt committing suicided when he was young. I hope he did find Jesus and was met with Christs Love. Dawkins probably even more influential than Hitchens for his intellect and apart of the community that saw their forerunner Anthony Flew as a betrayer of the Atheist movement and community, that wrote the book, “There is a God”, who at the end of his life threw out all of his life’s work promoting Atheism to come to the final conclusion through science that God exists! There is way more evidence to support God than not!
Prayers for Dawkins and all of those he influenced!!!! In Jesus Name!
