Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council Planning for all modes of transportation in and around the Twin Ports MPOs exist across the United States for population areas over 50,000.

The MIC is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Duluth-Superior area, including Hermantown, Proctor and surrounding townships on both sides of the bridge. MPOs ensure that transportation infrastructure investments are planned cooperatively by all local jurisdictions (city, county, state and townships).

Transportation projects can be big, expensive, and time-sensitive -- which means we're working now to line up new projects in the Duluth area to receive 2030 federal funding.
