The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States. Twin Ports DSA is based in Duluth, and welcomes all members from northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. DSA is NOT a political party, but a big-tent political organization that operates from the bottom up. We provide a political home for people who share similar values, particularly those

whom are part of Bernie Sanders' political revolution. We provide an open opportunity to dig deep into policy issues such as health care, develop positions, and share our understanding with the broader community. DSA's mission and shared vision is a humane international social order based on equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships. Equality, solidarity and democracy can only be achieved through international political and social cooperation ensuring that economic institutions benefit all people.

“Federal Deputy Attorney General Brian Lynch participated in the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol. Now he is leading a taskforce dedicated to prosecuting left-wing activism, which the administration calls political violence. The taskforce is using Trump’s National Security Policy Memorandum (NSPM-7) to investigate the funding sources of the president’s opponents.

Lynch is casting a wide net to go after Trump’s perceived enemies. The investigation targets, among others, the AFL-CIO, the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees, and the Minneapolis Federation of Educators. A slide that prosecutors showed to a grand jury portrays the unions, along with some nonprofits, left groups, and a bike shop, as part of an antifa conspiracy.

Minnesotans are responding with solidarity.

“This winter, Minnesotans stood together in rejecting the Trump regime’s occupation of Minnesota,” said a statement from a broad coalition of unions and nonprofit organizations, including many who had not been targeted in the investigation so far.”

On Aug 13th, after one of The MN 15 motioned for discovery to be shared regarding his case, much of it went public. The intention was to prove what all of us in the Twin Cities know - this investigation and the indictments that followed it have nothing to do with the law. It is an attempt to suppress a movement and intimidate us into silence and complicity with the state through scapegoating. The fascists will not succeed. The MN 15 are each and every one of us, and this motion was a profound act of solidarity.

HSI has dreamed up a false conspiracy, with little to show for it aside from a leftist exercise class so strenuous an HSI agent forgot their wire on the floor, constitutional observer trainings, and meetings so confusing they were described as “democratic in nature in the sense that everyone talked over each other”.
