Expect cool temperatures and a high probability of rain today (Wednesday), with a lingering chance of showers into Thursday and Friday. 🌧️ Widespread Rainfall Expected Today: A weather system moving through the Northland today will bring widespread showers, particularly for areas along and south of Highway 2. Total rainfall amounts are expected to range between 0.5" to 1.0" in the heaviest zones, with lower, more scattered amounts to the north.

Timing will peak late morning through mid-afternoon for most corridors, including the I-35 corridor and Twin Ports. 🌧️ Northland Weather Update: We are tracking a wave of rain and thunderstorms moving into the region tonight through Wednesday night. The highest chances for widespread rain will be on Wednesday, followed by a drying trend to end the week.

🌡️ Temperatures will remain fairly seasonable, with a slight dip into the 50s on Wednesday due to the rain.

💨 General winds of 6 to 12 mph are expected daily with gusts up to 15 to 20 mph. However, please note that stronger east winds of 20 to 30 mph are possible in the Twin Ports Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. No severe weather is currently anticipated. Stay weather aware!

There will be on and off chances for showers and storms throughout the first half of the week. A line of showers with embedded storms will continue diving south across the Northland tonight, and will reinvigorate tomorrow afternoon. More widespread rain is expected Wednesday.

We are tracking several opportunities for showers and thunderstorms across the region over the next few days.

Monday: Scattered showers and storms with a high of 69°F to 80°F.

Tuesday: Morning showers and storms lingering primarily in NW Wisconsin; highs from 60°F to 72°F.

Wednesday: Widespread showers and embedded storms; highs cooling down to 60°F to 69°F.
