Join us on Friday, August 21st from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at our Ziibing Land located at 1205 93rd Ave West. Jack Desjarlait will be providing a Hominy Workshop. Come learn about flint corn kernels and how to make dried corn into hominy. This event is free and open to the public. Dinner will be provided. All are welcome!

Join AICHO and Good Thunder Collective for an evening of learning, conversation, and community centered on traditional medicines.
The workshop will be facilitated by Nate Smith, whose Spirit name is Good Thunder. Nate is an enrolled member of Gaa-Miskwaabikaang, the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and will share teachings about our four sacred medicines: sage, cedar, to***co, and sweetgrass, including their cultural significance, respectful gathering, preparation, and use.
Shells and smudging bundles will be provided to attendees through the generous support of the Northland Foundation. AICHO will also provide food and refreshments.
