Drink some water. Get some rest.

It sounds simple, but it matters more than we give it credit for.

When you’re overwhelmed, tired, or not feeling like yourself, your body might just be asking for the basics.

Pause. Take a few sips. Lie down if you can. Give yourself a moment to reset.

You don’t have to push through everything. Sometimes the best thing you can do is take care of yourself in the simplest ways.

It doesn’t have to be perfect or planned. Just be honest about how you’re feeling.

Step away from the notifications, the scrolling, the constant noise. It’ll all be there when you get back.

Give your mind a break. Sit in silence, take a walk, or just do nothing for a few minutes.

You don’t always need more input. Sometimes you just need space.

Unplug, even for a little while. You might be surprised how much lighter you feel.

No phone. No noise. Just you and a little fresh air.

Step outside, breathe slowly, and let your mind settle for a minute. You don’t have to solve anything. Just pause.

It’s a small reset, but it helps more than you think.
Clearer head. Lighter mood. Better focus.

Not everything is just “stress” or “a bad day.”
Sometimes it’s disappointment. Sometimes it’s jealousy. Sometimes it’s loneliness, burnout, or fear.

When you take a second to be honest about it, things start to make more sense. You stop reacting blindly and start understanding yourself.

You don’t have to fix everything right away. Just naming the feeling is a step.

Call it what it is. That’s where clarity begins.

Not everything deserves your time, your energy, or your reaction. Some things are better left alone. Some people, too.

When you start choosing calm over chaos, you think clearer, feel lighter, and show up better for the people and goals that actually matter.

It’s not about ignoring reality. It’s about knowing what’s worth your attention and what’s not.

Teachers! You Make a Difference!

As a another school comes to a close, we want to thank the incredible teachers, counselors, and school staff across our community. For many students, school is more than a place to learn, it’s their only safe space.

Children exposed to domestic violence or s*xual assault often carry invisible burdens. Their struggles might show up as:

Sudden changes in behavior or mood
Trouble focusing or dropping grades
Anxiety, depression, or frequent stomachaches/headaches
Aggression, withdrawal, or extreme compliance
Reluctance to go home
Inappropriate knowledge about s*x or relationships

You don’t need to have all the answers, just noticing and reaching out can change a child’s life.

We’ve sent brochures and business cards to schools, please reach out if you’d like more resources or support.

Together, we can build safer futures for the children in our classrooms.
