Next up in our AMSG Traveler Spotlight series is Joel Koon, SharePoint Developer and self-described adventure seeker.

Joel has visited 49 countries and is heading to Peru to support the conservation work happening at the Los Amigos Biological Research Station in the Amazon.

What stood out most to us was Joel’s desire to contribute directly to projects that help protect one of the most biodiverse places on the planet while also stepping outside of his routine to learn and grow through the experience.

He’s especially looking forward to experiencing the Amazon rainforest up close, learning from researchers in the field, and immersing himself in the culture, food, and landscapes of Peru.

Better acquisition decisions start with better data.

Across federal programs, acquisition teams are managing more complexity than ever, more requirements, more stakeholders, and tighter timelines.

The challenge is not a lack of data. It is making that data usable. That is where we focus.

At AMSG, we support acquisition teams by:
• Organizing and structuring acquisition data so it is actually actionable
• Building dashboards and reporting that support real-time decision making
• Identifying trends and risks early, not after they impact performance

When data is clear, decisions move faster.
And when decisions move faster, missions stay on track.

This is how data analytics and acquisition support come together to drive better outcomes.

Memorial Day is a time to pause and reflect.

To remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, and to recognize the weight of that sacrifice. Not just what it meant in the moment, but what it continues to mean for their families, their communities, and all of us.

We remember. We honor. And we carry that forward in our lives and in our work.

Tom Fisk recently attended the Professional Services Council 2026 Annual Conference at The Greenbrier, joining government and industry leaders for conversations around acquisition, innovation, AI, and the future of federal contracting.

The event provided valuable opportunities to connect with peers across the GovCon community, exchange perspectives on where the industry is headed, and engage in discussions about how companies can continue supporting evolving mission needs.

We appreciate Tom representing AMSG and bringing back insights that help us continue thinking forward for our customers, partners, and team.

Introducing the AMSG Traveler Spotlight series.

Over the next few months, we’ll be introducing the team members preparing for this year’s Global Impact Program trip to Peru. From why they chose to volunteer to what they’re most excited to experience, these spotlights are a chance to get to know the people behind the
journey.

First up is Gabby Bonilla, DHA WCRCP Social Media Manager and returning Global Impact Team volunteer.

Gabby has visited 16 countries and is passionate about both service and conservation. This year, she’s especially looking forward to learning more about the work happening at Los Amigos Biological Research Station and gaining new perspective on how to support rainforest conservation from home.

Also important to know: she loves karaoke.

AMSG is proud to sponsor this year’s Military Appreciation Night at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater.

This special evening brings together service members, veterans, wounded warriors, and military families for a complimentary dinner and performance in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

We’re especially proud to support an event that also benefits Armed Services Arts Partnership - ASAP, an organization doing incredible work to empower veterans and military families through the arts.

“At AMSG, we believe supporting the military community extends far beyond the workplace,” said AMSG CEO Jim O'Farrell. “Military Appreciation Night is a powerful reminder of the importance of honoring service, strengthening community connections, and creating moments of recognition for military families.”

Thank you to Arena Stage and all of the community partners helping make this evening possible.

One of the things our CEO does each week is text different team members to check in. He has a few consistent questions he asks to stay connected, hear how things are going, and learn more about the experiences people are having across the company.

Those conversations often lead to the kinds of reflections behind our posts.

There’s a lot you can learn from what people choose to share. Not the big wins or polished updates, but the in-between moments. Someone trying something new, figuring it out as they go, or stepping up without being asked.

Those moments don’t always get attention, but they say a lot about a team. They demonstrate curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to keep getting better.

That’s how culture is built over time, and it’s something we see across AMSG every day.

Today we recognize the men and women who serve.

The commitment, the responsibility, and the sacrifices that come with protecting something bigger than yourself. It’s not something we take lightly, especially given the missions we support and the people we work alongside.

We’re grateful, today and always.
