Did You Know? 👋

Those first-day high-fives are more than just a welcome... they're a tradition.

Mr. John Harper, one of our school's namesakes and a proud member of Xi Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., made it a point to greet students on the first day of school each year. To honor his legacy, the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha continue this tradition today.

Their support extends far beyond the first day of school, and we are thankful for their continued investment in our students and school community.

If your student is new to Covington-Harper and may be a car rider this year, stop by the school August 12-14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to pick up your car rider tags!

✅ First two tags are FREE
✅ Last year's tags still work
✅ Replacement tags available for purchase if yours were lost

Car rider tags must be displayed in your windshield during dismissal to help us keep our students safe and our car line running smoothly.

Is your child starting kindergarten at CHES this fall? Give them a jump start with our Cheetah Ready program!

Cheetah Ready is designed to help our newest Cheetahs feel comfortable and confident before the first day of school. Students will explore the building, meet CHES staff, make new friends, and practice important school routines in a fun and engaging environment.
