🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY & EMERGENCY ACCESS REMINDER 🚒

The Town of Reidville would like to remind residents about the importance of keeping roadways, cul-de-sacs, hammerheads, and designated emergency turnarounds clear at all times.

Over the past several weeks, the Town has observed an increase in vehicles being parked along streets and in areas that may restrict access for emergency responders. The Town has been placing courtesy hangers on vehicles as an educational and proactive effort to bring awareness to the issue.

This is about something much bigger than parking.

Our emergency responders need adequate clearance to reach homes quickly and safely. A fire apparatus, including a ladder truck, is approximately 48 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. When vehicles are parked on both sides of a roadway or in an emergency turnaround, emergency personnel may be forced to maneuver around them, find an alternate route, or lose valuable time attempting to gain access.

The Town understands that parking can be challenging, particularly when households have multiple vehicles or guests. However, we ask everyone to be mindful of where vehicles are parked and whether an emergency apparatus could safely get through.

The goal is not to inconvenience residents or create conflict. The goal is to make sure that when someone calls 911, our police, fire, and EMS personnel can get to them as quickly as possible.

We appreciate the cooperation of our residents and HOA communities as we work together to keep Reidville safe and accessible for everyone.

The Town of Reidville would like to congratulate Charley Morgan on an incredible year of achievements, thus far!

Charley has had a busy and successful season, beginning with earning the honor of representing South Carolina Junior High Rodeo. To earn that title, Charley competed in a rigorous process that included a horsemanship test, written test, interview, impromptu questions, and delivering a two-minute memorized speech.

The success didn't stope there! Charley recently advanced to the finals and, in the Redemption 3D Round, was crowned the 1st Place Champion!

UPDATE:
Charley 3D 10th in the world out of 813 kids with kids from US, Australia, Canada, Mexico and Italy. She made top 10!! ❤️❤️

We are proud to have such a talented and hardworking young person representing Reidville and South Carolina. Congratulations, Charley! Your dedication, determination, and accomplishments are an inspiration to our community.

🐴🏆 Way to go, Charley! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next.

A huge thank you to Sweet Tea Station and Ole Station Roastery for helping some of us kick off the day at the South Carolina Municipal Association Annual Conference!

Not only did they provide fresh, locally roasted coffee for attendees, but they went above and beyond by carefully packing everything to keep the coffee hot and the cold items perfectly chilled during the trip to Greenville. Thanks to their attention to detail, everything arrived fresh and ready to serve.

We truly appreciate your professionalism and support of our municpal leaders. If you haven't stopped by Sweet Tea Station or tried Ole Station Roastery coffee yet, do yourself a favor, you won't be disappointed!

Today’s news about Senator Lindsey Graham is a reminder that, regardless of party affiliation, title, or political beliefs, we are all human first. Moments like this should cause us to pause and remember that behind every public figure is a person with a family, friends, and people who care deeply about them.
