Urgent
Summerlike pattern brings daily chances for severe thunderstorms with damaging winds being the main hazard. The threat for severe storms is highest during the afternoon and evening hours on Thursday and Friday.
Isolated instances of flash flooding possible throughout the end of the week.
Hot temperatures and high humidity will bring an increased risk for heat-related illnesses Thursday and Friday.
Important changes:

Increase in severe potential Thursday afternoon and evening across eastern PA.
Slight decrease in coverage of heat index values reaching 100°F Thursday and Friday.

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 332 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Blandburg,
moving east at 40 mph. This storm was part of a cluster of
developing severe storms.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Tyrone, Stormstown, Bald Eagle, Bellwood, Warriors Mark, Patton,
Tipton, Port Matilda, Blandburg, Spruce Creek, Birmingham, and

BLAIR PA ALERT: NWS Partners - Blair County and Surrounding Areas-Saturday, June 6, 2026



Initial round of showers early this morning across northwest Pennsylvania with no severe threat.
Showers/storms are expected to develop during the mid-to-late afternoon hours and gradually move southeastward across central Pennsylvania late this afternoon and evening.
Strong-to-severe thunderstorms are possible, with damaging wind gusts being the main hazard. Large hail is also possible across central Pennsylvania.


Important Changes:

Added hazard-specific and timing information for the severe thunderstorm threat this afternoon/evening.
Slight increase in rainfall totals introduces a slight risk for flash flooding across portions of western Pennsylvania.
