***IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE***

On August 14, 2026, the Allegheny Township Police Department arrested 51-year-old Steve NOLAND Jr. of Cambria County as a result of an investigation into unlawful contact with a 14-year-old-female. The following charges were filed as a result of the investigation:

Child Sexual Abuse Material (F3)
Dissemination to Minors (F3)
Unlawful Contact with a Minor (F3)
Contact/Communicate with a Minor – Sexual Abuse (F3)
Corruption of Minors (M1)

NOLAND Jr. was transported to and remanded to the Blair County Prison on $50,000 bail, which he was unable to post. NOLAND Jr. is currently awaiting his preliminary hearing.

Thank you to the Cresson Borough Police Department - Cambria County, the PA State Police, and the Blair County District Attorney's Office for their help during this investigation.

The Red Sand Project brings awareness to human trafficking and the issues and signs that can lead to someone becoming a victim.

Supporters are asked to place red sand in the cracks to serve as a visual representation of the millions of victims and survivors of human trafficking who have fallen through the cracks of society.

**ATTENTION RESIDENTS**

The parking lot located at the front of the township building will be blocked off and closed to employees and visitors starting Friday, July 10th, 2026, at 4:00 PM, and will last until Monday, July 13th, 2026, at 7:30 AM. This will be done to allow the parking lot to be seal-coated. Any resident needing police services or municipal offices can find parking at the side of the building or at the rear of the building. Any vehicle still in the front parking lot during these time periods could be towed. We thank you for your cooperation!

Big Boy NO. 4014 Event

On Saturday July, 11th the BIG BOY NO. 4014 will be departing the Horseshoe Curve at approximately 10:00 am traveling west through Allegheny Township and arriving at Cresson Railroad Park at approximately 10:45 am.

The public may view the BIG BOY NO. 4014 as it passes through Allegheny Township via MG Tower Road off of Sugar Run Road and an Unnamed Access Road near the top of Sugar Run Road just east of Tunnel Hill. The public may also view the BIG BOY NO. 4014 from Bird Eye Road located off of Tunnel Hill Street. All three access roads are closed to motor vehicles. Access will be walk-in only.

There is very limited parking available at the lot at the access to MG Tower Road and the lot at the access to Bird Eye Road. There is no parking available at the Unnamed Access Road.

Parking is not permitted in front of any access gates or on the Unnamed Access Road.

Law Enforcement will be conducting patrols in the area to ensure safety and respond to emergencies. Our goal is for everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience.
