We must inform you that the Golf Tournament is POSTPONED once again. If it was just a matter of the rain and golf we would attempt to get the tournament in around the rain and possible lightning. But the Golf Club is still undergoing their renovations and their dining room is not completed. That means that we would have to have the Southern Buffet for dinner outdoors on the patio. The last time I checked Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, and Biscuits don’t go well with watered down gravy!!!

I apologize for the 2nd postponement but we can’t predict things like the weather.

Our new date for the tournament will be pushed back to Monday, July 26th.

Just passing on important information from the Duncanville School District.
05/19/2021

Just passing on important information from the Duncanville School District.

Duncanville ISD family,

We are aware of the governor’s announcement today prohibiting public schools from requiring face coverings or masks be worn after Friday, June 4. Over the next two weeks, our school district will continue with our current safety procedures of requiring face masks. However, starting June 5, Duncanville ISD will comply with the governor’s executive order and we will no longer mandate masks. Instead we will strongly encourage the use of face masks on school property.

Duncanville ISD continues to see a decrease in the number of active COVID-19 cases reported in our schools. We believe the continuous reduction in numbers is due to the consistency of staff, parents and students in following the health and safety protocols and the increase of people receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.

As we comply with the governor’s order, we encourage our community to continue taking steps to protect yourself and others in the community. In addition to strongly encouraging the use of face masks, we will also share COVID-19 vaccination opportunities and look for ways to partner with vaccination clinics.

I appreciate your patience and support as we work together through the final weeks of this school year and finish strong. Our shared commitment shows why #WeAreDville.

Sincerely,
Dr. Marc Smith
Superintendent of Schools
Duncanville ISD

Chamber Weekly Updates – April 30, 2021. Four Powerful Words I Learned This Week. I heard a phrase used this week that stuck with me. The person said that as we hear people talk of their political affiliation, their race, their religion, their financial situation or just the place that they may be in their life at the time, “STOP JUDGING & START LOVING.” http://www.duncanvillechamber.org/chamber-weekly-updates-april-30-2021/

Chamber Weekly Updates – April 2, 2021

Happy Easter
Easter is a time to Celebrate the Resurrection of Christ Jesus.

I personally think of it as a time of thanksgiving. I’m thankful that we live in a country where we can serve a Risen Savior as we wish without persecution. It’s also a time to spend with Family and Friends. Hopefully this year more families will be able to get together and share this special time with their with loved ones..

All our #donation boxes are out and listed on our website at www.helptohealtx.org. Donations needed are stuffed animals, blankets, gripper socks etc. We also need gift cards from local businesses and restaurants. Our goal this year will be to reach over 2100 Seniors. Please help us make this a Merry Christmas for our Seniors. Thank you!
I was advised that I should make a police report about an incident that happened at my home. Unbeknownst to us, we hired a unethical fence contractor who started a privacy fence project on 07/27/2017 at our home in the backyard. On 07/29/2017, they left and never returned. They left debris and trash including some of equipment and tools. On 07/29/2017, Mr. Brian Allen Dickey Gonzalez expressed some hardship issues to me and asked if he could receive most of the balance. Folks don't use this liar. There are many other companies to choose from but don't give a dime. He also stated that they would be finished with the staining that day and just needed to come back to frame and install an ornament on the gate. The person's name is Brian Allen Dickey Gonzalez of Texas Creations Fencing and Concrete. He said that he was the owner of the business and telephone number is 469-925-5010. We paid Brian Allen Gonzalez of Texas Creations Fencing and Concrete $3150.30. He is active on social media and I do have text messages. We do intend to sue Brian Allen Gonzalez of Texas Creations Fencing and Concrete for the amount we will be charged by the next contractor. PLEASE USE SOMEONE ELSE!! COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE IS UNTRUTHFUL, UNETHICAL, AND DISHONEST!!!
Please consider supporting the youth when they knock on your door!
