Thursday night, we celebrated our incredible 8th graders as they officially crossed over to Duncanville High School! ❤️💙

This class is filled with promise, potential, and endless possibilities. Over the past two years, they have grown academically, socially, and as leaders — and now they are ready to take the next step in their journey. 🌟

🍎✨ Teacher Appreciation Week – Day 3: Breakfast at Byrd’s! ✨🍎

Day 3 was one for the books! Our teachers showed up in their all black for Breakfast at Byrd’s and were celebrated the Panther way! 🐾💙💛

Staff enjoyed a delicious chicken & waffles breakfast 🍗🧇 and a catered lunch from Golden Corral, generously provided by Nehemiah #1 Masonic Lodge. 🙌

But the BEST part of the day was the recognition, appreciation, and love shown to our incredible teachers. 🌟 Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to students deserve to be celebrated every single day!

Today we celebrate the incredible individuals who ensure our Panthers get to and from school safely every single day. 🐾✨

Our bus drivers are often the first smile our students see in the morning and the last goodbye in the afternoon. Their dedication, patience, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

🏆🎉 Panther Pride on Display! 🎉🏆

We are incredibly proud of our students who competed in SkillsUSA and represented Byrd Middle School with excellence! 💙💛🐾

Their hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit paid off — and we are excited to share that we will be advancing to Nationals for the 3rd consecutive year! 🇺🇸✨

Our Opening & Closing Ceremony team took gold at State to guarantee their spot in Atlanta!!!

Congratulations to Landon Risper-Martinez, Brenton Jackson, Eva Perez, Evelyn Jasso Bañuelos, Princess Turner, Zamora Anderson and Aubrey Jones!

This accomplishment is a testament to our students’ commitment to growth and the support of our amazing staff who continue to prepare them for success beyond the classroom.

Lastly, each member of the ESports team will receive a $10,000 scholarship from TSTC upon graduation!!

🏆📚 Attendance Competition is ON! 📚🏆

We’ve launched a grade-level Attendance Competition where every student can help their grade:
✅ Can help the grade level earn points by being present
⚠️ Lose two points by being tardy

Our goal is to encourage consistent attendance — because being in class matters! That said, we understand students may be dealing with illness, and staying home to recover is important. 💙

If your child is absent:
🩺 Please submit a doctor’s note
✉️ Parent notes are accepted (up to 3)

Need to make up time? Attendance Recovery is available on Saturdays.

Let’s work together to support strong attendance while keeping our Panthers healthy! 🐾
