EEBDs ARE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT — MAKE SURE THEY’RE READY WHEN NEEDED

Emergency Escape Breathing Devices (EEBDs) are designed for one critical purpose: to provide breathable air during an emergency escape from a smoke-filled or hazardous atmosphere.*

But having an EEBD onboard isn't enough. It must be properly inspected, maintained, and in serviceable condition.

A thorough EEBD inspection can identify:

* Damaged or deteriorated components
* Broken or missing seals
* Expired units
* Damaged hoods or breathing hoses
* Low or improper cylinder pressure
* Corrosion or physical damage
* Units that may no longer be safe or reliable for emergency use

An EEBD may sit untouched for years, but when an emergency happens, your crew needs it to work immediately.

Don't allow a quick visual check to give you a false sense of security. Proper inspections help ensure your vessel's emergency equipment is ready to perform when someone's life may depend on it.

Baltimore Marine Safety provides thorough inspections and service of marine Fire-Fighting Equipment (FFE) and Life-Saving Appliances (LSA).

🔥 Don't just have safety equipment onboard. Make sure it's ready to save a life.

Contact Baltimore Marine Safety today to schedule an inspection of your vessel's EEBDs and other safety equipment.
